OPENING: K_lab INTERACTING ON THE REALITY INTERFACE

ROME. Wednesday, 3.12.2008 at the MLAC - Museum Laboratory of Contemporary Art, University of Rome “La Sapienza”, inaugurates the multimedia exhibition K_lab - interacting on to reality interface, an art project by César Meneghetti developed with Enrico Blasi and Sam Cole and Matthew Mountford.The event is curated by Simonetta Lux and Domenico Scudero.

IV INTER-AMERICAN BIENNIAL OF VIDEO ART

WASHINGTON D.C. December 1st 2008 to January 23rd 2009. César Meneghetti is one of the winners of the Fourth Edition of the Inter-American Biennial of Video Art with the video “Les terra's di nadie" (No-one’s Land, Brazil/Italy, 2007), a conceptual piece that focuses on social and political events that invade the reality of the world today.

The entire selection of 25 videos representing 13 countries in the region, plus Puerto Rico, were chosen by an international jury composed by art experts Bélgica Rodríguez of Venezuela and Germán Rubiano Caballero of Colombia. These entries were selected from among 201 submissions by artists from 15 countries. The videos will be exhibited at the Gallery of the IDB Cultural Center, in Washington DC (1300 New York Avenue NW), between After the presentation in Washington, the Biennial will be launched a series of exhibitions in North, Central and South Americas.

TERRORISTA GANHA PRÊMIO NO VITÓRIA CINEVíDEO

VITÓRIA. 29.11.2008. O filme TERRORISTA de César Meneghetti recebeu neste sábado no 15º Vitória Cine Vídeo o prêmio de melhor documentário na 12ª Mostra Competitiva Nacional "Revelando os Brasis" que terminou neste sábado, com a premiação dos melhores vídeos e filmes de curta e média-metragem. O montador, Willem Dias, que foi em Vitória para representar o filme levantou o Troféu Marlin Azul junto a outros realizadores contemplados de São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Espírito Santo, Pernambuco e Distrito Federal. O festival começou no dia 10/11 com a Mostra Revelando os Brasis, o Cine Galpão Itinerante e a exibição de Longas Capixabas.

ROME. Originally conceived by César Meneghetti,the container/observatory AEQUATOR PROJECT was created in Rome in 2006 and developed together a nomadic collective of emerging South American artists that released their first show at the MLAC in 2008.
