ANTWERP. 7-9 September 2014 in the event PEACE IS THE FUTURE - a dialogue
after 100 years after the WWI the artists César Meneghetti, Jusuf
Hadžifejzović, Johannes Wickert, the writer Nedim Gursel and the Art Historian
Simonetta Lux will held a conference entitled "Art: between conflict and
peace" (PANEL 14). The event programme will have 25 panels with 150
speakers, among them Zygmunt Bauman, Mario Marazitti, Mario Morcone, Samir Franjieh, Sudheedra Kulkarni and many
of the representatives of the Christian Churches and Ecclesial Communities. The
topics start from the civil society from
all over the world, as well as representatives of the newly elected European
institutions, will discuss current issues such as the relationship between
religions and violence, economy in the service of peace, sustainable
development, fight against poverty and also a special focus on some critical
areas: Nigeria and Iraq. The congress is promoted by the Community of
San'Egidio and will be held at the Karel de Grote-Hogeschool, Campus
Groenplaats, Aula GR 308, Nationalestraat, Antwerp, Belgium.
